The Ministry of Water & Environment has allocated funds for the procurement of Consultancy Services for Preparation of Design Manual for Water For Production infrastructure and facilities.

The overall objective of the assignment is to develop a design manual for Water for Production Infrastructure and facilities so as to:

1).Provide design criteria, requirements and guidance on design methods

2).Ensure uniformity and consistency in design practices in all WfP projects.

3). Ensure all designs are in line with statutory requirements

4). Ensure robust management of design system

The manual is intended for use by engineers, surveyors, developers, owners and environmentalist, socio-economists and other practitioners involved in the development of safe, economic and environmentally appropriate WfP Infrastructure and Facilities as a general reference. Individual volumes may be used as standalone guides for the particular facility under development.

The scope of the assignment involves:- Technical Studies and Investigations, Design of Dams (Earth, Rock fill and Gravity dams), Hydraulic Structures, Water Conveyance and Control System, Design of Irrigation and Drainage System and Design of Valley tanks, Abstraction System and Water Use structures

The Ministry of Water and Environment now invites eligible Consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultants must provide all necessary legal company documents such as valid trading licence, certificate of registration, powers of Attorney and information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (experience in similar assignments, availability of appropriate skills and relevant qualifications).
