The Government of the Republic of Uganda represented by the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has allocated funds for Upgrading of Critical Oil Roads to facilitate the start of production by the year 2020. It seeks to utilize part of these funds towards Provision of Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of Design and Build of Karugutu- Ntoroko and Kabwoya- Buhuka Road Upgrading Project (98km).

2. The services to be performed under these projects shall comprise: (a) Review of Contractor’s Designs and Construction approach and methodology, and where necessary undertaking Incidental Designs; (b) Supervision of all Construction works; (c) Supervision of Implementation of Environment and Social safeguards; (d) Transfer knowledge to UNRA staff.

3. The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) now invites eligible Consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).

4. Consulting firms may associate with other firms on the basis of joint venture or sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications with a clear indication of the type of association as joint venture or sub-consultancy. Foreign firms must associate with local firms.
