Background:

The Insurance Institute of Uganda (IIU) was established in 1964 as a training arm of the Uganda's Insurance sector with a mandate to carry out education, training and professional development in the sector. It is also the representative professional body under the law. The institute is currently in the transformation process into an insurance training college.

The Institute is in the process of implementing a centralized system. This implementation is expected to improve service delivery by enabling Members, students and other stake holders to use simplified mechanism to maintain proper records and Quality service delivery.

To this end, IIU is searching for eligible legal entities with capacity to supply the above hardware requirements for implementing an Enterprise resource planning (ERP) for the Institute.

 The following are technical capabilities of the eligible entity.

1. Bidder Company should have local support in Uganda.

2 Bidder software should have reference site (Reputable companies) in Uganda.

3. Bidder should be able to provide support

The insurance Institute of Uganda now invites all eligible suppliers to submit their Bid for the supply of the above-mentioned Hardware components. The expression of interest

will be conducted in accordance with the IIU Procurement policy.

Each Bidder will be evaluated in accordance with the IIU Procurement policy and response to the Bid advert.

A Non-refundable fee of 100,000/= (Uganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand only) shall be paid to the following Account details: Bank of Baroda Account No.95010100002434. Account Name: The Insurance Institute of Uganda.

The Bid should be properly sealed and clearly marked Bid for the supply of the hardware components and shall be submitted with proof of payment physically or by courier(s) to the above address on or before 12th January 2018 at 3:00Pm (East Africa Standard Time).

Bid will be opened in the presence of representatives of the eligible entities on Wednesday 12th January 2018 at 3:30Pm (East Africa Standard Time).

IIU reserves the right to accept or reject any response received to the expression of interest and to cancel the entire process at any time, without incurring any liability to the affected respondent(s). IIU shall neither be bound to offer any reasons for such acceptance / rejection.

All expenses required for preparation and submission of the response to this advert including providing any additional information shall be entirely incurred and borne by the respondent.
