The Government of Uganda through Ministry of Water and Environment, Karamoja Small Towns and Rural Growth Centres Project has allocated funds to be used for the Construction of Kacheri-Lokona Town Water Supply System.

2. The Ministry of Water and Environment through Karamoja Small Towns and Rural Growth Centres now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above works.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding method contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries. Exclusive reservation by threshold to local providers shall apply.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(a) from 8:00am to 5:00pm during offi cial working hours.

5. The Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 8(a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000= (Uganda shillings One Hundred Thousand Only). The method of payment will be by bank advice form which may be obtained from the URA WEBSITE/ OFFICES. Payment can be made in any bank and the payment details presented to the Procurement and Disposal Unit before obtaining a copy of the bidding document. No cash will be accepted

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(a) at or before 11:00am on 25th January, 2018. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in form of an unconditional bank guarantee of UGX 48,000,000= (Uganda Shillings Forty Eight Million Only). The Bid Security must be valid until 15th August, 2018. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address below at 8(b) at 11:30am on 25th January, 2018.
