1. The Uganda National Meteorological Authority has received funds from the Government of Uganda to be used for the acquisition of one dual polarization C-Band Weather Radar.

The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above supplies.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open International bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(a) from 9:00am — 5:00pm. The Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 8 and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 500,000 (Uganda Shillings, Five Hundred thousand only) to UNMA's Stanbic Bank Account No. 9030011511.8 at Crested Towers, Kampala.

Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8 at or before 11:00 am on 15m February, 2018. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in form of a Bank Guarantee of UGX 210,000,000. Bid securities must be valid until 27th July, 2018. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8 at 11:30am on 15. February 2018.

7. There shall be a mandatory site visit and pre — bid meeting at UNMAs Mbarara Office on Plot 2-22 Kahaya road in Mbarara and Acacia Hotel in Mbarara respectively on 12th January, 2018 at 2:00pm. Failure to attend the site visit and pre-bid meeting shall lead to automatic disqualification.
