Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd (UEGCL) has allocated funds towards the provision of supplies, works and services for the Financial Year 2017-18 to 2020-21.

Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd (UEGCL) now invites interested competent firms/companies to submit pre-qualification documents in each category of supplies, works and services as detailed on the UEGCL website: www. uegcl.com

Pre-qualification submissions will be evaluated in accordance Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, of the Government of Uganda. Pre-qualification is open to all eligible bidders.

The evaluation methodology and Criteria shall be Technical Compliance selection on pass or fail basis and shall address two stages: of eligibility and technical capacity and as listed below;

(a) Eligibility Requirements:

• A copy of certificates of registration/incorporation or equivalent

• An original valid income Tax Clearance certificate or equivalent where applicable

• A copy of the bidders current trading licence (2018) or equivalent where applicable

• Registered Powers of Attorney for authorised signatories • Valid practising certificate for consulting firms or equivalent

• Valid practising certificate for advocates and approval of Chambers for legal firms • References from the company/firm Bankers

(b) Administrative Requirements:

• Physical Address and telephone numbers of the company/ firm

• Three copies plus an original of the pre-qualification documents should be submitted

• A declaration in the company profile of nationality of the provider

• A statement in the company profile that the provider has no conflict of interest in regard to this pre-qualification exercise;

• A declaration in the company profile that the provider is not under suspension by the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA);

(c) Technical Competencies required:

• Detailed company profile indicating names of Directors , their relevant experience

• Qualification and experience of key personnel for consultancy firms of not less than 2 years in continuous engagements and practice (CV) must be attached

• List of equipment/facilities possessed by the firms to demonstrate capability to undertake and accomplish the tasks of interest

• Audited financial statements for the past two years

• Experience of the company of at least two years in the continuous engagement of similar business/tasks and assignments of interest

• Electricity Regulatory Authority's Company Installation permit for electrical installations/power line construction

(d) Inquiries for further information procedure:

Interested eligible providers may obtain further information and inspect the documents from the Head, Procurement and Disposal Unit, Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd, Block C, Victoria Park, Plot 6 - 9, Okot Close, Bukoto. from 8:00am to 5:00pm during working days.

(e) Submission Procedure:

Pre-qualification submission must be delivered to Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd, Block C, Victoria Park, Plot 6 - 9, Okot Close Bukoto not later than Monday, 23' April 2018 at 11.00am. Pre-qualification submissions will be opened on the same day at UEGCL meeting room, Block C, Victoria Park, Plot 6 - 9, Okot Close Bukoto at 11:15am in the presence of potential bidders who will choose to attend. Late submissions will be rejected and UEGCL is not bound to pre-qualify any prospective provider.

Pre-qualification documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of non-refundable fee of UGX. 50,000. The method of payment will be by depositing money on UEGCL Bank Account No. 9030011177327, Stanbic Bank Operational UGX and presentation of a banking slip.
