1. The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has allocated funds to be used for the upgrade of infrastructure at the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT). This is part of the program to transform the Institute into a Center of Excellence.

2. The Commission invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply, delivery and installation of equipment and software:  and provision of related services for upgrade of laboratories  at UICT. 

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding a procedure contained in the Government of Uganda's Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders.

4. Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect bidding documents from UCC at the address given below in No. 8(a) from 8:30 hours to 17:00 hours during working days.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below in No. 8(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only). The method of payment will be payment to a bank account; the details of which shall be advised by the Commission.

6. Bids must be delivered to the physical address below in No. 8(c) on or before Monday, 28th May 2018 by 10:00am. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX15,000,000 (Uganda Shillings Fifteen Million). Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who may choose to attend at the address below in No. 8(d) by 10:15am on Monday, 28th May 2018.

7. There shall be a pre-bid meeting on Friday, 11th May 2018, at UICT, Nakawa, Plot 9-21 Port Bell Road, Kampala at 11:00am.
