The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received a loans from the African Development
Bank (AfDB) and African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of Multinational
Uganda/Rwanda: Busega – Mpigi and Kagitumba – Kayonza – Rusumo Roads Project. It is
intended that part of the proceeds of the loans will be applied to eligible payments under the
contract for the construction of Busega – Mpigi Expressway (23.7km).

 The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) now invites sealed Bids from Bidders for the
construction up to completion of civil works for Busega – Mpigi Expressway (23.7km) hereinafter
called “the Works”. The works will comprise construction of a new four – lane express highway on
a new alignment with four grade-separated interchanges, associated drainage and ancillary works
as well as implementation of environmental and social mitigation measures
