The Government of Uganda represented by the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Agriculture Cluster Development Project (ACDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for procurement of Motor Vehicles and Motor Cycles.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) as the implementing agency for the project now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for procurement of: Lot 1-Twenty five (25) no. double cabin pick up vehicles; Lot 2- Three (03) no. station wagons; Lot 3: Two (02) no. saloon cars and Lot 4: Twenty seven (27) no. motorcycles. The delivery period for the items is (within Thirty (30) Calendar Days). A Margin of preference shall not apply.

Bidders may bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so provide those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.” 

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, PDU and e-mail at procurement@agriculture.go.ug and inspect the bidding documents during office hours Monday to Friday 09:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, (local time) at the address given below.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment  of a nonrefundable fee of Ugx:150,000/=(One Hundred Fifty Thousand Shillings Only). Bidders are advised to collect Bank Payment Registration Slips at the address below and make payment to any of the banks. The document will be picked from Procurement and Disposal Unit (PDU) Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF).

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 11:00 a.m. on January 17, 2018. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below at 11:05 a.m. local time on January 17, 2018.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security. The amount of Bid Security is reflected below:

 Lot 1: UGX: 106,200,000/= (One Hundred Six Million Two Hundred Thousand Shillings Only) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.

 Lot 2: UGX: 12,600,000/= (Twelve Million Six Hundred Thousand Shillings Only) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.

 Lot 3: UGX: 5,600,000/= (Five Million Six Hundred Thousand Shillings Only) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.

Lot 4: UGX: 5,400,000/= (Five Million Four Hundred Thousand Shillings Only) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.)
