The Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC) in Uganda is a Government-owned company established in 2001. It is one of the lead agencies in the implementation of the government’s “Prosperity for All†programme, which aims at transforming the rural economy through job creation and increase in household incomes. One of the pillars is rural financial services, to strengthen the financial infrastructure. Since inception MSC has managed various micro credit programs funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB and the Government of Uganda (GoU) and Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). MSC provides affordable credit through loan products that support the agricultural value chain and the company provides business development services to its clients.
