The USAID/Uganda Private Health Support Program is USAID's flagship program in the private health sector in Uganda. The Program objectives are:

The Program seeks proposals for the following:

1. RFP No. 4717-2016-002 The purpose of this request is to contract a qualified, legally registered firm/organization to conduct an actuarial study for licensed Health Management Organizations (HMOs) and Private Health Insurers (PHIs). The outcomes of this study will enable HMOs and PHIs to fruitfully participate in discussions concerning their role in the proposed National Health INsurance (NHIS). The study should also enable them to achieve a clearer understanding of the pricing strategies so they can develop a minimum benefits package for Ugandans. |
2. RFP No: 4717-2016-003 The purpose of this request is to contract a Civil Society Organization to provide services to institute an awareness campaign on rational use of medicines in selected districts. This campaign will involve developing and disseminating a patient charter and disseminating the Essential Medicines and Health Supplies List (EMHSL) commodity prices as outlined in the Medicine Price Monitor for Uganda developed by the Medicines Transparency Alliance (META). |
